: The study was carried out in accordance with German national regulations. The experimental procedures were approved by the research coordinator at the Leipzig Zoo, upon a risk assessment conducted together by the research coordinator and the keepers working with the study subjects. The experimental procedures were considered to pose no risk to the animals and to provide them with clear benefits in terms of enrichment. All the animals participated on a completely voluntary basis, and motivation to participate was ensured exclusively by the use of highly preferred food belonging to their regular diets.
