This research received an IRB exemption (NHS Exemption- Holt (03-14-2023), WCG IRB Work Order #1-1641720-1) under the exclusionary guidelines that the research conducted was for the purpose of canine training for sample selection of PD-associated odor. Approval for study participation of members of the public (dog owners) was obtained from each dog owner by informed consent to include mandatory adherence to provide requisite canine care and vaccinations as directed by their veterinarian. No additional procedures were performed on client-owned dogs; thus this trial does not fall under any regulations overseeing experimental animal trials.
