: This research article, entitled “Oxygen extraction fraction (OEF) values and applications in neurological diseases” is a secondary research/meta-analysis study. In conducting this research, we did not directly engage with human participants. All data analyzed were obtained from existing sources, including published studies, databases, and public records. These sources have their own informed consent procedures for their primary research, which were adhered to by the respective researchers at the time of data collection.Our study involved the analysis of this already existing data, and as such, traditional informed consent procedures applicable to primary research involving human subjects were not required. We ensured that all secondary data used in our study was treated with the utmost respect for privacy and confidentiality, in accordance with ethical research standards.The methodology for data selection, analysis, and interpretation was rigorously designed to uphold the integrity of the research process, and our findings contribute to the field while respecting the ethical boundaries of secondary research.
