: The present study is a post-mortem analysis based on a database of patients who had previously provided consent during life for their brain tissue and clinical data to be analyzed within the framework of the Imperial College of London Brain Bank. The study has received ethical approval from the local ethics committee of Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome. All procedures comply with ethical standards and institutional approvals. All the enrolled patients have provided their consent during life to analyze their brain tissue along with their clinical data to Imperial College of London, and The Wales Research Ethics Committee has authorized this Brain Bank as a Research Tissue Bank. The Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome's local ethics committee has granted its approval for the present study.
