: This study is registered at ClinicalTrials.gov with no deviation from the overall protocol (NCT04577989) and approval by the local ethics committee was obtained (EKNZ-2020–02251).
: Patients informed consent was obtain using the current version (at time period of hospitalization) of the USB internal “Forschungskonsent”. In case of missing “Forschungskonsent”, we applied for an exception according to HRA Art. 34 a-c, especially regarding critical ill patients at ICU and patient who died prior to signing the USB internal “Forschungskonsent”. Patients, that refused the subsequent use of their data, were excluded from this study.
