: All protocols were certainly compliant with Ethical standards. In fact, here we used a commercially available cell line of human keratinocyte.
: The treatments are among approved medical device for human use in Europe (CE marked), and therefore applicable to in vitro test on human cells.

: This experimental work was accomplished using immortalized human keratinocytes obtained by Istituto Zooprofilattico Bologna, Italy. The research did not involve any human and animal species, it is part of the main research activity of the Department of Experimental Medicine, and thus does not need any approval from the University Ethical committee.
