: Patients suffering an anastomotic leakage treated by secondary transanal suture were asked to provide informed consent and completion of LARS surveys [ ] with the assistance of a study nurse. Passive opt-out consent was provided by the remaining patients. The study was approved by the Regional Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics Central Norway.
