: We used the language learning model (LLM) ChatGPT, manufactured and developed by OpenAI (2023), August 2025 version (GPT-5) in the production of this manuscript. The date of use was 8/8/25. ChatGPT was prompted to perform a literature search and provide a list of genes and their references where EP had been investigated. Detailed prompt information and how data was checked for integrity can be found in methods under ‘Use of AI’. This was the only section of the manuscript where AI was used.
