Schulze-Bonhage hat für die Leitung der klinischen Studie und die Rekrutierung von Patienten am Freiburger Epilepsiezentrum Forschungsunterstützung von der Firma PRECISIS, die das EASEE-Gerät herstellt, vom Bundesministerium für Forschung und Bildung und vom Wissenschaftsministerium Baden-Württemberg für Projekte zur Entwicklung intelligenter Implantate zur Neurostimulation erhalten.
