: This is an observational study, and no ethical approval is required. However, in all the workshops and interviews with local government officials, participants joined with informed consent and with the agreement that any incidental collection of private information would not be used in the study and are handled according to the Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012). Furthermore, the project obtained free, prior informed consent (FPIC) to work with the indigenous communities of the Baroro Watershed under the guidelines defined by the Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Act of 1997 (Republic Act No. 8371).
