: All storks were measured and tagged by JS under licenses (293/2014 to 311/2018). All procedures were conducted in line with the guidelines of the Gdańsk Bird Ringing Centre at the Museum of Zoology Polish Academy of Sciences. Given a stork weights 3000–3500 g, a logger together with a harness weighting 28 g stays well below the recommended 3% threshold, constituting 0.8–0.93% of animal’s weight. In this way, any potential hindrance to storks’ natural behaviour was drastically minimized.
