: All procedures related to the capture, marking, and monitoring of Alpine marmots (Marmota marmota) were conducted in strict accordance with ethical and legal guidelines for the care and use of research animals. Our study received approval and authorization from the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA – 16598/2017), ensuring that all activities were performed in compliance with current regulations regarding animal welfare and wildlife conservation.
