: Since this is a baseline assessment for an intervention-based study, the ethical approval was covered by the clearance given to the project entitled “Analysis of the Effects of a Lay Responder Disaster Training using Witte’s Behavioral Model (Extended Parallel Process Model or EPPM)” by the Angeles University Foundation, Center for Research and Development Ethics Review Committee. All guidelines adhere to both institutional and national standards. Participation was purely voluntary, and participants can withdraw at any time without any questions and loss of possible benefits. Personal information provided was kept private and handled with the utmost of anonymity and confidentiality in accordance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012.
