: Ethical clearance approval was sought from the Ghana Health Service Ethical Review Board with approval number: GHS-ERC 039/11/21. Before the administration of the questionnaires, patients’ written consent was sought before commencing the study. For respondents below 18 years, parental or caregiver written informed consent was sought and documented before the administration of the data collection tool. This was done by reviewing the written informed consent form with the participant and asked to consent before the commencement of the data collection exercise. The selected respondents were informed of the rationale of the study, the average time for completing the questionnaire as well as the benefits and risks of the study and how they were selected to take part in the study. All such information was provided in a language that was clearly understood by the participant in order to address stigma related with TB. A copy of the signed consent form was given to the participant and the other one kept by the researcher for future reference. In addition, the study used unique identification numbers for patients to ensure anonymity. Soft copies of data entered were secured with pass codes. Clients were assured of their voluntariness to participate in the study and further assured that, their decline would not affect the treatment they receive for TB.
