Declarations
:
: The study protocol was reviewed and approved by the National Ethics Committee of the Ministry of Health and Wellness under approval number MCH/CT/NETH/2022. All participants provided informed consent, and their rights, privacy and confidentiality were strictly protected throughout the research process.
: This project was based around the acceptability of a new intervention as a treatment method. Although PPI was not included prior to the project, the value-based questionnaire used enabled us to gain thoughts and opinions from participants and practitioners on the acceptability of using the exercise referral in the public health care sector. This will trigger the use of PPI in health care technology assessment in Mauritius in the future in this area.
: RL is employed as a medical practitioner by the Ministry of Health and Wellness. All other authors declare no conflict of interest.
