: The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the State of Brandenburg approved the HBSC study (registration number 55/2021). The study was conducted with the approval of the Ethics Committee of the Brandenburg University of Technology (AZ: EK2021-06) by national law and the Declaration of Helsinki of 1975 (in the current, revised version).
: The study was performed following the German Federal Data Protection Act and the European General Data Protection Regulation. A corresponding data protection concept was developed in advance and in collaboration with the data protection officer of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg.The survey was voluntary and anonymous at the school and pupil level at all times. The school management and pupils were informed in advance about all the content and objectives of the study and the data protection concept. For participation in the survey, written consent was required from the parents/guardians and the pupils themselves (from grade 7) (informed and active consent).
: Not applicable: The data were collected completely anonymously, no conclusions can be drawn about individuals, and accordingly, no individual data is published in this study.
