: The data set analyzed in this study was not obtained from any online database or website. It was provided by academics at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatric Pulmonology, based on the authors’ previous scientific collaborations, upon special request. The data under consideration was collected as part of clinical protocols designed to ascertain the genetic carrier risk of an index case diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and their close relatives. The dataset encompasses blood tests administered to the subjects in question, along with the outcomes of genetic testing. All ethical procedures required for the secondary use of data in scientific research have been meticulously followed. In this context, written informed consent has been obtained from the patients included in the study and all their close relatives regarding the use of test results in scientific research. The shared data has undergone anonymization for the purpose of analysis, with the objective of safeguarding patient privacy. Furthermore, given that the data comprised retrospective results provided with the explicit consent of volunteers and de-identified, no separate ethics committee approval was necessary for the present study, as per the assessment of the relevant academic units.
