: Ethics approval was obtained from the Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Clinical Research Ethics Committee (dated 02.05.2020, decision no. 200123/122). on May 2, 2020.
: Both the patients in the study group and the control group were provided with a detailed informed consent form. The form outlined the purpose of the study, how and why blood samples would be taken, what tests would be conducted, and how the samples would be disposed of. After the form was read aloud, participants were asked to read it themselves. It was clearly explained that their treatment and follow-up care would not be affected by this study, or the blood samples taken. Participants were informed that the study had received ethical approval and that none of their demographic or clinical data would be shared with the public or third parties beyond scientific publication. It was also made clear to both groups that the study would not impose any financial burden on them, nor would they receive any financial benefit. Participants were reminded that they had the right to withdraw from the study at any stage without consequence.
