: The study has not been approved by any ethics committee, as the faculty where the project is being carried out (Faculty of History) does not have such a committee, nor is one organized at the university level. In this case, the funding agency does not require the approval of an ethics committee. Nevertheless, the research team places great importance on conducting research in an ethical manner and protecting the rights and comfort of its participants, using the provisions of the Code of Ethics for Sociologists adopted by the Polish Sociological Association in 2012 ( ).
: The study involved Human Participants—Interviewees. Before the study began, each participant was informed about the study’s objectives, funding source, methods of data collection and recording, and intended use of the data. Each participant gave their written informed consent to participate in the study, to have the interview recorded, and to have it used. Participants had the option to consent to the transcription of the interview being deposited in an open research data repository (all participants consented) and to the anonymization of the interview (no one chose this option). Participants were also informed about the methods of processing their personal data in accordance with European Union regulations. Signed consent forms for the study are stored by the PI.
