: We do not make use of any publicly available information about the advocates or the areas. As the laws of India prohibit advocates advertising themselves, all information about advocates is extracted and inferred from the documents itself. Additionally, information about areas is only obtained from the legal experts through our annotation process. Therefore, we have adhered to the ethics of not using any self-declared advertised information. All cases in our dataset are obtained from Indian Kanoon using a paid API. The website was paid the requisite fees in keeping with ethical standards to facilitate downloading the cases’ corresponding HTML documents. The legal experts were adequately compensated for their services on mutual agreement of the amount.
