: Before conducting the field survey, the necessary approval was obtained from the concerned authority, namely, the Forest Departments of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and Sikkim. We were authorized to conduct research and collect non-invasive biological samples. We used our own images in this study. The sampling location and distribution maps were created in-house using the template of the Survey of India map.
: We did not use any live animals in this study and utilized only non-invasive samples. Hence, no Institutional Animal Ethics Committee approval was required.
