: The participants were informed about the study protocol and long-term storage of the samples for further studies. They were assured of their right to willingly participate or withdraw from the study at any stage, without impacting the standard care they were entitled to receive at the health facilities. Following this explanation, informed written consent was obtained from the participants. Participants diagnosed with malaria received treatment following the national guidelines outlined by the National Malaria Elimination Program (NMEP). A controlled cabinet was utilized to store all consent documents and other study materials securely.
