The Malmö Diet Cancer Study received approval from the Ethics Review Board in Lund, Sweden (Official Records Nos. 652/2005, 166/2007, and 2014/830) as well as the Swedish Ethical Review Authority (2022-04473-02). The women from the MDCS cohort included in this study provided their informed consent at the baseline. For the Västernorrland region, the Swedish Ethical Review Authority approved the data collection (2020–02165 and 2024-00428-02), waiving the need to secure informed consent.
