All patients were provided with detailed information regarding the nature, purpose, potential risks, and benefits of percutaneous transvenous mitral commissurotomy (PTMC). Participation was entirely voluntary, and patients retained the right to withdraw at any stage without any impact on their ongoing clinical care.
