Ethical approval was obtained prior to data collection. Participants were provided with detailed information about the study and gave informed consent before participation. Confidentiality was ensured through the use of pseudonyms and removal of identifying details from transcripts. Given the emotionally sensitive nature of the discussions, participants were reminded of their right to pause or withdraw at any time. Information about support services was made available should participation raise distress. Ethical conduct followed established guidelines for qualitative research involving vulnerable populations and frontline workers (Tracy, ).
