: Gingiva was harvested from extracted wisdom teeth, with the approval of the Ethical Committee of the Medical University of Vienna (EK Nr. 631/2007). Patients gave their informed consent. The isolation of murine bone marrow does not require ethical approval, as, according to Austrian law, it is an organ donation.
