: Fish community monitoring was carried out with the official endorsement of the Greek Ministry of Rural Development & Food as well as the Greek Ministry of Environment, Energy, and Climate Change (permits: 4AM00-KHI, BIHY0-718, and 9ZE24653P8-ΖΟ6). Fish sampling was carried out by trained personnel from HCMR following the established protocols outlined in the Inland Waters Fish Monitoring Operations Manual (IMBRIW-HCMR). These guidelines were developed in-house to address concerns related to conservation and animal welfare during electricity-based sampling procedures. The research was done according to ethical standards.
