: All procedures involving animals were conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and national guidelines for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes and comply with Directive 2010/63/EU on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes. The infrastructure is approved to perform experiments with fish. The study was carried out in a closed recirculating aquaculture systems under controlled laboratory conditions, ensuring minimal stress and optimal welfare for C. carassius .
