: A three-level multilevel meta-analytic approach was used to handle non-independent effect sizes and nested effect sizes, e.g. when including more than one measure from a single study (Cheung, 2019). This is a deviation from our planned analyses; we decided to adopt this novel approach which allows the inclusion of a larger number of individual effect sizes to strengthen research on the impact of PA interventions.
