Declarations
:
: The authors declare that they have no known competing financial interest or personal relationships that could have appeared to influence the work reported in this paper.
: Data provenance and reuse : The manuscript reanalyses the 2019 dataset—pre-monsoon subset— previously reported by the authors (Girija et al., 2022; ), but addresses an entirely different research question. The previous work examined hydrogeological and seasonal controls on radon, whereas the present analysis focuses on dosimetric risk (AED, ELCR) and advanced probabilistic methods (Monte Carlo, Latin Hypercube simulations) to evaluate public health risks. No tables or figures from the previous publication have been reused in this study. The objectives, methods, and conclusions do not overlap with the earlier study.
