: Fish samples were caught under the permission of the concerned state, federal, or private agencies and institutions and were in accordance with the Austrian state laws on fisheries. Any by-catch of non-target species was immediately released back into the water. Some specimens were from historical museum collections to which ethical requirements cannot be applied.
