: The authors have been collaborating to implement Community Voice Method projects since 2004, working in various combinations over time. Each of the authors worked on the projects they were involved in as part of their paid work, or as volunteers. Gabriel Cumming and Carla Norwood are married. Gabriel Cumming is the sole proprietor of Community Voice Consulting, a firm that offers consulting services. Each project referenced in this paper was funded from a combination of organizational budgets (existing staff salaries or student stipends) or from one or more grant sources at the time that it was carried out.

: The projects referenced in this paper were conducted under the auspices of a wide variety or organizations, including universities, nonprofits and government agencies; all projects have been approved by Institutional Review Boards or equivalent, depending on the sponsorship.

: Informed consent was obtained from all participants in each project.
