: This study employed a survey experiment where students were presented with hypothetical scenarios and informational interventions within the questionnaire to assess their stated willingness to participate in student evaluations of teaching (SETs). No actual SET processes were altered, and no interventions were made to students' real-world evaluations, ensuring that the study posed no risk of harm or loss of interest to students or lecturers. Institutional approval was obtained from relevant university administrative leaders, and participants provided informed consent. They were also reminded of their right to withdraw from the survey at any time, with encouragement to do so if they felt uncomfortable.
