This research was carried out under the principles established in the Code of Ethics for research, action research and ethno-scientific collaboration in Latin America (Cano-Contreras et al. , Código de Ética de la Sociedad Latinoamericana de Etnobiología). Following these principles, prospective visits were conducted to inform the authorities of the municipality and each community of the scope and purposes of our research to request their permission to carry it out. Every person interviewed was informed about the interest of the first author to publish her research and to carry out her Master's Thesis. We obtained a verbal informed consent of each interviewed and a consent signature of the authorities. No personal data have been published in this investigation.
