: All mice were maintained and bred in a specific pathogen-free animal facility and maintained in a pathogen-free environment at the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Iztacala (FES-I), Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) animal facilities. The animals were fed Purina Diet 5015 and water ad libitum. All experimental procedures were in strict accordance with the recommendations in the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals of the National Institutes of Health (USA) and were approved by the Committee on the Ethics of Animal Experiments of the FES-I (UNAM) CE/FESI/012022/1456.
