: The study was conducted at Mt. Hope Family Center, University of Rochester. This study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of the University of Rochester and the study was performed in accordance with the ethical standards as laid down in the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. Informed consent was obtained from the parents of maltreated and non-maltreated children for their child’s involvement in the summer camp program and to review any relevant records from the Department of Human Services (DHS) related to the family.
