: This study was approved by the first author’s second affiliation (IRB #18–193) as a retrospective chart review. Waiver of consent was obtained as the study posed no to minimal risk to participants and used data that was previously collected as part of the participants’ admission to the clinical program – no additional data or tasks were completed by participants for the purpose of this project. All research procedures followed best practices for human subjects research as outlined the Declaration of Helsinki on Medical Research.
: SB, MM, and MS are clinical providers that deliver behavioral outpatient services to autistic youth. MS is the program manager of the service setting described within this study and actively provides services and supervises clinicians within that clinic.
