: This paper only involves secondary analysis of existing panel data, the Korean Baby Boomer Panel Study, which were prepared as de-identified/publicly available data. The initial wave of Korean Baby Boomer Panel Study (sponsored by the Institute on Aging at Seoul National University and MetLife Korea Foundation; conducted by Gallup Korea; PI: Gyounghae Han) was administered in 2010—before the revision of South Korea’s Bioethics and Safety Act (Law No.16372; effective on February 2, 2013) without approval from Seoul National University, Institutional Review Board (IRB). The Seoul National University, IRB approved the use of the panel data administered without IRB pre-approval, given the minimal risk for participants and written informed consent from participants (as of December 12, 2014).
