: This research paper presents a simple and low-cost method for the fabrication of Eu<sup>3+</sup>/PEO–PVA SPE. Various characterization techniques; XRD, FT-IR, FE-SEM, UV–Vis–NIR spectroscopy. Besides, the IV characteristics. Doping at 2.0–6.0 wt% of Eu<sup>3+</sup> significantly improved the optical, semiconducting and electrical properties of the blend. The results indicated that the produced SPE are best suitable for optoelectronic applications and ion-conducting devices.
