: All procedures performed in studies involving human participants were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and/or national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. A total of 467 participants from the parent study were reached, re-contacted, and voluntarily accepted participation in a survey inquiring about their drinking and driving patterns. Before conducting the interviews, the study’s research protocol was reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board at FIU (Miami, FL). A Certificate of Confidentiality was obtained from the National Institutes of Health to ensure maximum protection for the participants.
