: Legal permissions were obtained from the Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Committee of İnönü University (Date: 26.01.2021, No: 2021/1057) and the relevant institutions. The study’s purpose was explained to the obese adolescents, and their questions were answered. Participants were assured of confidentiality, informed they could withdraw at any time, and provided written informed consent. The study’s aims were communicated to both the adolescents and their families, with verbal and written consents obtained. After training the experimental group, the control group also received training and the education booklet.
