: Specimens used in this project were collected during the 2014 NanHai cruise supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan (MOST), and operated by ocean research vessel No. 5. Corals were collected by either bean trawl or dredge, and all specimens expired during the sampling process and were preserved in 95% ETOH afterward. Sampling permission was under the authority of MOST and sampling strategies followed the animal ethics regulations of National Sun Yat-sen University.
