: Whole genome sequence data of <i>Venustaconcha ellipsiformis</i> are available at NCBI GenBank (ASM340159v1). Specific sequence reads used to develop the microsatellite loci and the microsatellite primers are listed in Table and Supplementary Table S1.
: Genetic materials of <i>Venustaconcha ellipsiformis</i> were collected under proper scientific permits issued by each state. The materials were taken non-lethal manner, and all mussels were returned to appropriate habitats after the sampling. No mussels were sacrificed during the study.
