: The study protocols were approved by the Ethical Institutional Review Board (EIRB) at Islamia College University, Peshawar, Pakistan (November 11, 2020/26-AS&RB/ICP). The animals’ health was monitored twice a day, and no adverse behavioral changes were observed during the experiment. Criteria for adverse health conditions included sudden weight loss, high fever, nose bleeding, dermatological issues, lethargy, and reduced responsiveness to food and water intake. Such symptoms were not reported during the five-week study period. All procedures were performed with utmost care to minimize suffering during the post-experimental surgeries.
