: All the procedures conducted in our study followed the principles set forth in the Declaration of Helsinki. The Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) of the University of Cape Town and all respective hospitals ethics departments, and the South African National Cancer Registry approved this study (the ethics approval number; HREC:287/2020). Study participants were provided with consent forms prior to the commencement of the research. A registered practitioner counselled the patients, in the patients’ native language where needed, providing detailed explanations of the research, and addressing all patient inquiries.
