: All animal experiments were performed as per guidelines provided by the OECD (1987), for use and care of laboratory animals, which mandates to have prior approval of the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) for establishing any disease model of experimental animals. Safety studies were conducted according to OECD guidelines 423 (acute toxicity) and 407 (sub-acute toxicity), in which every group had equal representation of females and males. Experimental protocols CIMAP/IAEC/2020–23/16 (antiallergic activity) and CIMAP/IAEC/2020–23/22 (safety studies) were duly approved by the IAEC of CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow, formed under the Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA), Govt. of India.
