: We declare that they have no conflict of interest. Public dataset is not available for Gurumukhi newspaper text recognition experimental work. So, we have collected their own dataset from three renowned Gurumukhi script newspapers that are ‘<i>Ajit</i>’, ‘<i>Jagbani</i>’ and ‘<i>Punjabi Tribune</i>’ for experimental work in this paper.
