: This study is a secondary analysis of data from the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG) CE.6 (EORTC 26062 − 22061/NCIC CTG) randomized controlled trial. The original CE.6 trial received approval from the institutional review boards or independent ethics committees of all participating centers, and all participants provided written informed consent prior to enrollment. The present analysis used anonymized, de-identified data obtained with authorization from the CCTG. In accordance with institutional and international guidelines, this secondary analysis was exempted from additional ethics review, as no new patient recruitment or direct interaction occurred. All analyses were conducted in compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki and applicable data protection regulations.
