: «This paper presents an original results in terms of amplification factor and seismic hazard maps at the soil surface for a return period of 475 years for the northern part of Algiers city. The seismic source model is developed based on the state of the art in terms of knowledge of active faults in Algeria. In addition, an original seismicity analysis is conducted in this work based on various seismicity catalogs and the soil model, which includes more than 4000 soil profiles, provided by JICA (Japan), is used to simulate surface maps. Geological maps are used with their respective references. Currently, this work is not submitted to any other journal, however, another study, conducted by the first author relative to site specific and sensitivity analysis of real selected sites with a different approach, is under review in another journal. I declare here that there is no duplication of results or approach in this study since it is relevant to the management of seismic hazard at the urban scale.
