: This study involved field research on Dolomiaea costus, a plant species of dwindling status at the global scale. Given the low population density of this species, we did not collect plant specimens but focused on collecting location data for ecological modelling purposes. Photographs of the plant were taken in the field to support our research. The plant identification was carried out by Dr. Hamayun Shaheen, Chairman of the Department of Botany, The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. As the plant material was not collected, there was no voucher specimen deposited. However, the plant identification was based on field observations and the “Plants of the World Online database available at (). We adhered to all relevant institutional, national, and international guidelines and legislation regarding the study of endangered plant species. No physical plant material was removed from its habitat, ensuring compliance with conservation practices.
